changes from 2025.<\/h2>\n<p>[\/vc_custom_heading][vc_column_text uncode_shortcode_id=&#8221;220503&#8243;]As of January 1, 2025.  <strong>Most entrepreneurs who operate hair salons and beauty salons offering beauty care services and nail styling, eyebrow styling or eyelash styling are required to obtain an entry in BDO.<\/strong>  This, of course, applies to entities that have so far benefited from quantity exemptions for waste in the form of packaging containing residues of hazardous substances with code 15 01 10* of up to 200 kg.<\/p>\n<p>At the beginning of the year, a new regulation by the Minister of Climate and Environment (Journal of Laws 2024, item 1644) came into effect, in which <strong>5 hazardous waste codes were removed from the list of waste codes exempt from record-keeping, including 2 strictly related to the beauty industry:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>15 01 10* Packaging containing residues of or contaminated by hazardous substances,<\/li>\n<li>ex 15 01 11* Metal packaging containing hazardous porous structural reinforcement elements other than asbestos, including empty pressure containers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In practice, this means that owners of beauty salons and hairdressing salons have been <strong>required to keep records of the hazardous waste generated, regardless of the quantity<\/strong>, and thus to obtain an entry in the BDO register.[\/vc_column_text][vc_custom_heading uncode_shortcode_id=&#8221;137656&#8243;]<\/p>\n<h2>Waste from beauty salons and hairdressing salons to be recorded in BDO from 2025.<\/h2>\n<p>[\/vc_custom_heading][vc_tabs vertical=&#8221;yes&#8221; uncode_shortcode_id=&#8221;193579&#8243;][vc_tab gutter_size=&#8221;2&#8243; column_padding=&#8221;2&#8243; title=&#8221;packaging containing or contaminated with residues of hazardous substances&#8221; tab_id=&#8221;1735294823-1-665&#8243;][vc_column_text uncode_shortcode_id=&#8221;122835&#8243;]Waste classified as packaging containing residues of hazardous substances or contaminated with them (code 15 01 10*) mainly includes packaging from:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Disinfectants and disinfectants,<\/li>\n<li>Paints, brighteners, oxidizers,<\/li>\n<li>Nail polish (traditional and hybrid),<\/li>\n<li>acetone, cleaners,<\/li>\n<li>Cosmetics containing a high concentration of acids (for example, after acid peels),<\/li>\n<li>depilatory waxes,<\/li>\n<li>Products containing vitamin A derivatives (retinol, retinal) with teratogenic properties.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_tab][vc_tab gutter_size=&#8221;2&#8243; column_padding=&#8221;2&#8243; title=&#8221;metal packaging, including empty pressure containers&#8221; tab_id=&#8221;1735294823-2-479&#8243;][vc_column_text uncode_shortcode_id=&#8221;739176&#8243;]To waste classified as metal packaging containing hazardous porous structural reinforcement elements other than asbestos, including empty pressure containers (code ex 15 01 11*):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>hair sprays, color sprays and other aerosols,<\/li>\n<li>hair mousses,<\/li>\n<li>Makeup fixing sprays.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_tab][vc_tab gutter_size=&#8221;2&#8243; column_padding=&#8221;2&#8243; title=&#8221;Non-hazardous medical waste&#8221; tab_id=&#8221;1735309141814-2-107&#8243;][vc_column_text uncode_shortcode_id=&#8221;188926&#8243;]Other wastes than those listed above that do not have hazardous properties e.g.:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>syringes (without needles),<\/li>\n<li>Disposable gloves, underwear, lignin,<\/li>\n<li>disposable clothing (aprons, shoes, caps)<\/li>\n<li>used ampoules not contaminated.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_tab][vc_tab gutter_size=&#8221;2&#8243;
